FC 27 Web App: Start Time, Early Access and the Transfer Market
The first live FC 27 surface of the year opens before the game does. Here is exactly when, who gets in, and what it can actually do.
The FC 27 Web App goes live on 16 September 2026 at 6:00pm UK time — eight days before the game itself. It is the first part of EA SPORTS FC 27 anyone can touch, and for Ultimate Team players it is the single biggest head start available all year.
It is also the part people get wrong most often. Early access is not automatic, the Transfer Market stays locked until you do something specific, and a surprising number of players lock themselves out on day one by being logged in somewhere else. This guide covers all of it, plus the honest answer to the question we get asked most: can any FC 27 cheat or tool work inside the Web App?
When the FC 27 Web App opens
The Web App opens on 16 September 2026 at 6:00pm UK time. The Companion App on mobile follows shortly after — EA has historically staggered it by a day or two rather than releasing both at once.
That is well ahead of the game. Early access to FC 27 itself starts 18 September for Ultimate and Ultimate Plus editions, and the worldwide release is 24 September 2026. So the Web App gives you roughly a week of club-building before most people have even launched the game.
Supported platforms are PlayStation, Xbox, the EA app, Steam and the Epic Games Store. There is no Web App access for the Nintendo Switch versions — if Switch is your only platform, this entire window passes you by.
Who actually gets early access
Access on day one is not open to everyone. To get in immediately you need to have been an FC 26 player, and specifically:
- You created an Ultimate Team club in FC 26.
- You logged in on your platform before 1 August 2026. This is the one that catches people out — a club alone is not enough if you had not played recently enough.
- Your account is in good standing and has never been banned.
If you do not meet all three, you are not locked out forever — you simply get access once you own and launch FC 27 yourself. And if you are using the Web App without owning FC 27 yet, you must log into Ultimate Team on a console or PC at least once before 13 November, 11:59pm UTC, or your access is withdrawn.
Why your Transfer Market is locked
This is the number one day-one complaint, and it is not a bug. The Transfer Market is not open by default on a new club.
To unlock it you have to complete the Foundations Objective Group, and complete it in the order the game presents it. Skipping ahead does not work. Once you finish it, there is still a waiting period of roughly 24 to 48 hours before full market access lands, and the exact delay varies by platform.
Plan around that. If your strategy depends on trading during the early window, finishing Foundations should be the very first thing you do when the Web App opens — not something you get to on day three.
What you can and cannot do in the Web App
The Web App is a club-management surface, not the game. You can:
- Manage your squads and change formations, roles and chemistry.
- Buy, sell and bid on the Transfer Market once it is unlocked.
- Open packs and spend coins or points.
- Complete SBCs and claim objective and campaign rewards.
- Customise your club — badge, kits, stadium.
You cannot play matches. And critically: you cannot use the Web App while you are logged into Ultimate Team on your console or PC. The two sessions conflict, and trying to run both is the usual cause of the login errors people hit in the first hour.
Do FC 27 cheats work on the Web App?
Short answer: no, and be very careful with anyone who tells you otherwise.
The Web App runs in your browser and every meaningful action — a bid, a pack, a squad change — is resolved on EA servers. A tool that runs alongside the FC 27 game client on your PC has nothing to attach to in a browser tab. Our toolkit is a PC game-client tool; it does not touch the Web App, and we are not going to pretend it does.
What does circulate around the Web App every year is browser-based autobuyer and sniping scripts. Those are a different category with a different risk profile: they act on your live account against EA servers, and market automation is exactly the behaviour EA is best equipped to spot and quickest to sanction. Every season a wave of accounts is hit for it. If you want a sense of how we think about risk generally, read our honest ban-risk guide.
Use the Web App window for what it is genuinely good for: finish Foundations, get the market open, and build a club that is ready the moment early access starts on 18 September.
Common questions
16 September 2026 at 6:00pm UK time. The mobile Companion App typically follows a day or two later rather than launching at the same moment.
The most common cause is being logged into Ultimate Team on your console or PC at the same time — the sessions conflict. Close the game fully, then retry. If you still cannot get in, check you meet the early-access conditions: an FC 26 Ultimate Team club, a platform login before 1 August 2026, and an account in good standing.
The market is not open by default. You have to complete the Foundations Objective Group in order, and then wait roughly 24 to 48 hours depending on your platform before full access unlocks.
Yes, if you qualify through your FC 26 club. But you must log into Ultimate Team on a console or PC at least once before 13 November at 11:59pm UTC, or access is withdrawn.
No. Web App and Companion App access covers PlayStation, Xbox, the EA app, Steam and Epic Games Store. Switch versions are excluded.
